Wonderful pictures! I particularly like the Ferry to Tennessee from New Madrid County, Missouri, 1938!! I believe that is the one my husband was to cross to Missouri to visit relatives back in the 1930s. The bus he was on was scheduled to cross the river on a ferry at Tiptonville or Cotton Wood Point but was unable to do so because of flooding. They had to go all of the way to Cairo, Illinois to cross the river.
