Scrap Drives
A big way for Americans on the home front to contribute to the war effort in World War II was to collect scrap - metal, rubber, etc. - for repurposing into war materiel. These photos from Leslie Jones show some of those efforts in the Boston area.
As far as I'm concerned, yes, but you may want to contact the Boston Public Library to check on permissions for that kind of use: http://www.bpl.org/research/print/jones/
Hello would it be possible to use some of the scrap photos for a documentary I am working on?
