Alexandra Studio
Series consists of negatives produced by Lou and Nat Turofsky, Roy Mitchell, and Hal Crellin while assosiated with the Toronto-based commercial photography firm, Alexandra Studios. The photographs were commissioned by a diverse clientele, including Maple Leaf Gardens, Canadian National Exhibition, Canadian Council of Christians and Jews, City of Toronto, Toronto Transit Commission, Royal Alex Theatre, Wood Gundy, and the Ontario Motor League. There are photographs of schools, churches, hotels, medical facilities, and monuments; as well as commercial, financial, and municipal buildings. There are also photographs of sporting events, and informal and formal photographs of prominent local and visiting personalities.

Canadian National Exhibition
These are from the Toronto Globe and Mail collection, which consists of ca. 140,000 negatives created by and/or under the direction of the Globe and Mail's first staff photographer, John H. Boyd, between December 1922 and November 1953. The range of the material is tremendous, providing a rich visual record of Toronto, especially in the 1930s and 1940s. These photos were taken at the Canadian National Exhibition in the 1920s.

The Alexander Galbraith Collection consists of about 500 photographic images taken in and around Toronto, Ontario, Canada, between about 1894 and 1950, which document prominent businessmen, politicians, and royalty, as well as a wide variety of physical and social settings.

William James Family
This collection consists of photographs taken by members of the William James family, including William James, Sr. (1866-1948), and sons William James, Jr. and Norman James (1907-1992). The fonds [fonds="the aggregation of documents that originate from the same source"] has been arranged into four series, and includes nearly 5,000 negatives and prints. The collection is part of the Toronto Archives.
